WE ARE HERE! #InternationalMuseumDay at Lopez Museum and Library

It’s like the world museums’ version of Christmas Day! This day is an occasion to raise awareness on how important museums are in the development of society. The young, the curious, the enthusiast all came to celebrate #InternationalMuseumDay with us, to relax and learn, to inspire the spirit! We think that because we know.

COMPLICATED Exhibit Artist Talk with EA TORRADO

Ea Torrado discussed her work in Sisa, a video installation based on the frantic search of Jose Rizal’s Sisa and reflections on the museum’s iconic Juan Luna painting—España y Filipinas. She also discussed her processes, choice of materials, subject matter, and the challenges and possibilities of art as engagement.


Torrado is an independent contemporary dancer-choreographer. She has essayed principal and soloist roles in both classical and contemporary full-length ballets. She has toured extensively in the Philippines and abroad with Ballet Manila, Ballet Philippines, and Dance Theatre of Tennessee. Torrado was also the ballet and contemporary dance teacher at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Dance School, Ballet Manila School, and Asian American Performing Arts Society. In 2013, she independently produced, conceptualized, and choreographed the dance theatre production Dots.
