Ea Torrado’s Artist Talk on May 17, 2-4pm. Celebrate the International Museum Day (May 17) with us at Lopez Museum & Library!
Ea Torrado will discuss her work in Sisa, a video installation based on the frantic search of Jose Rizal’s Sisa and reflections on the museum’s iconic Juan Luna painting—España y Filipinas. She will also discuss her processes, choice of materials, subject matter, and the challenges and possibilities of art as engagement.
Torrado is an independent contemporary dance-choreographer. She has essayed principal and soloist roles in both classical and contemporary full-length ballets and has toured extensively in the Philippines and abroad with Ballet Manila, Ballet Philippines, and Dance Theatre of Tennessee. In 2013, she independently produced, conceptualized, and choreographed the dance theatre production Dots.
In celebration of the International Museum Day 2014, REGISTRATION TO THE ARTIST TALK AND ADMISSION TO THE MUSEUM THROUGHOUT THE DAY WILL BE FREE.

COMPLICATED: THE CONCERT
Lopez Museum’s concerts are back –starting with Complicated: The Concert on May 31, 2-4 p.m. In partnership with Viva Voce, the concert will selected songs inspired by the artworks featured in the current exhibition. A variety of classical, kundiman, and Broadway musical songs will be sung during the event. Concert ticket costs Php 300.00.
