Update 11 November 2013 – HR Council
Help us help our fellow employees
Over the weekend, we saw the devastating damage wrought by super typhoon Yolanda in Leyte, Samar, Cebu, Negros and Iloilo. Our Kapamilya-employees are badly in need of food, clothes, medicines, and beddings.
We have hundreds of co-employees living in many of the 36 affected provinces who are now also suffering the effects of Yolanda’s wrath.
As an initial step, the HR Council together with the Lopez Group Foundation Inc., are putting together hygiene and food kits for our co-employees based in Leyte, Samar, Negros, Iloilo and Bohol who have been affected by Yolanda.
Help us help our fellow employees. Your aid will go directly to the employees of Energy Development Corporation, Bayan, SkyCable, ABS-CBN, First Balfour, Thermaprime, and other Lopez Group companies based or living in the affected areas.
The food packs consist of 3 kilos rice, 2 cans corned beef, 4 cans sardines, 6 packs instant noodles, 6 sachets 3-in-1 coffee, 1 liter of purified water while the Hygiene kits consist of toothpaste in sachets, toothbrush (4), bath soap, laundry bar soap, tissue, alcohol, chlorine tablets, Biogesic or Bioflu, sanitary napkin, and hand towel. We request therefore that donations be confined to these items.
Donations in cash may be deposited to the Lopez Group Foundation Inc. BPI account number 0201-0444-56. Donations in kind are accepted right here at Benpres Building basement in Pasig City – c/o Ola Magno.
For those who wish to help in the preparation of the relief packs, employee volunteers are welcome to help out during break time or after office hours starting Tuesday, 12 November. For more info, contact Yiessa Borbon at 449-2148 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
