#ThrowbackThursdays Old floor plan of the Lopez Memorial Museum

In the old floor plan of the Lopez Memorial Museum, exhibits of rare books, maps, photographs, and other works on paper are mounted. The library’s staff has upheld its reputation for professionalism and personal attention for five decades.

Our new exhibit Trajectories opens on Friday, 6th of September and will run until the 20th of December 2013.

TRAJECTORIES maps out the way the museum collection grew in relation to the people who headed the privately owned museum and library. Works of 19th Century Filipino Masters Juan Luna and Felix Resurreccion Hidalgo will take center stage, together with works of conservatives Juan Arellano, Fabian de la Rosa, and Fernando Amorsolo as well as works by modernists Victorio Edades, Nena Saguil, Botong Francisco, H.R. Ocampo, and Fernando Zobel, just to name a few. Pottery from the Calatagan excavation, rare Filipiniana books, and Philippine maps dating back to the 16th century will complete the exhibition. Trajectories will open to the public on September 6, 2013.
