Cordial Greetings! The Zero In Consortium of Museums (Ateneo Art Gallery, Ayala Museum, Bahay Tsinoy, Lopez Memorial Museum and Library, and Museo Pambata), in cooperation with UNESCO, will be conducting a national workshop designed for LGUs, cultural organizations, and NGOs on “Establishing Community Museums”. This four-day workshop will be held at the Faber Hall of the Ateneo de Manila University from 17 to 20 September 2013.
In connection with this, may we invite your institution to take advantage of this one of a kind workshop, which is especially designed for those interested in setting up their community museum or wish to revitalize existing ones. The workshop features insightful lectures on museum management best practices, participative and interactive hands-on exercises, and an exposure trip to member museums.
All applications will be evaluated by a screening committee and only 100 participants will be accepted to the workshop. Interested cultural institutions, LGUs and NGOs are encouraged to send a minimum of one (1) to a maximum of four (4) representatives. Attached is an information sheet containing further details about the workshop as well as the registration form. Deadline for submission of application is moved to 15 August 2013. The registration fee of Php 2500.00 per participant is inclusive of workshop kit, meals, museum manual, field trip and certificate.
