The workshop will include lectures on Preventive Conservation as well as Materials and Equipment commonly used for handling specific objects. The rest of the workshop will be about handling 2 and 3-dimensional objects and will include a hands-on activity on transporting objects.
Registration fee for the lecture is Php 1,500.00. For information and registration, call Tina at 631-2417 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Grounded exhibit open until 03 August
Curated by Claro Ramirez, the exhibition features the works of guest artists Toym Imao, Josephine Turalba, Eric Zamuco, Alma Quinto, Goldie Poblador, Barbara Hlali, Ahmad Al Shaer and Khaled Hafez.
As the museum makes its way from Pasay to Pasig, and eventually to Makati, Grounded interprets how the museum, as a cultural institution, engages and intervenes in its vicinity. These are all referenced through pieces from the Lopez Museum and Library collection as well as works from invited artists. Grounded is a posed exercise, of looking back and hopefully move forward.
Also featured are works from the museum’s collection, such as those by National Artists Jose Joya, Jerry Elizalde Navarro and Federico Alcuaz; Juan Arellano, Roberto Chabet, Brenda Fajardo, Juvenal Sanso, Nena Saguil and Pacita Abad.
