Free entrance to Lopez Museum on May 18!
LOPEZ Memorial Museum offers free admission to all guests on May 18, Tuesday, in observation of International Museum Day. Grab this opportunity to view the museum’s exhibit, After the Fact.
Ongoing until September 18, the exhibit poses the questions “What and how did we do? Then what?” It attempts to answer the latter question through engagement with Philippine social realism and multimedia interventions as seen in the works of Paris-based installation artist Gaston Damag, New York-based Imelda Cajipe-Endaya, social realist Antipas Delotavo (left photo), and filmmaker Keith Sicat (below photo).
International Museum Day was established by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) 33 years ago to boost public awareness of the role of museums in the development of society. During last year’s International Museum Day, almost 20,000 museums in more than 90 countries around the world took part in the celebration by hosting various events.
