Tell-tale: The Artist as Storyteller, Amorsolo as Co-Author looks into the visual artist as a collaborator, and his/her works as narratives themselves. Like Amorsolo, Ikoy Ricio has collaborated with writers and editors to come up with cover and book designs, and illustrations for their works. This experience informs him as he makes artworks which would engage with the illustrations done by Fernando Amorsolo for Camilo Osia’s Philippine Readers. To discuss his process of engagement with Amorsolo and how his experience has come into play in his process, the Lopez Memorial Museum has invited Ikoy Ricio to give an Artist’s Talk on October 25, 2-4pm at the Lopez Memorial Museum.
Ikoy Ricio is a graduate of the UP College of Fine Arts. Apart from cover and book designs, he has done production designs for videos and television, and stage and set designs. He is currently an art teacher. He has worked with the Lopez Museum in the exhibition Fixations: Notions of Obsession.
The Lopez Museum is at the ground floor, Benpres Building, Exchange Road corner Meralco Avenue, Pasig City. Museum days and hours are Mondays-Saturdays, 8am-5pm,except holidays. For more details, call 6312417 or email
