Talking About Art Conservation: Lopez Museum’s Conservation Expert Maita Maronilla-Reyes on ANC’s Shoptalk

Lopez Memorial Museum’s Conservation Expert Maita Maronilla-Reyes talks about how to preserve art on Pia Hontiveros’ “ShopTalk” on ANC last July 15, 2008. Maita heads the museum’s conservation laboratory called the Roberto M. Lopez Conservation Laboratory which was set up in 2002 primarily to conserve and restore the museum’s art, library and archival collections. In June 2002, the laboratory extended its services to the Lopez Group of Companies’ art collection in consonance with its aim to preserve Filipino masterworks for the enjoyment of present and future generations.

  1. Excellent interview. Informative. A short practicum on conservation. Ms. Reyes responses was clear and the reference to art being the patient to be treated bids well for the importance of preserving and conserving our our family heirlooms and our National Heritage. Bravo Ms. Reyes, Bravo ANC and Bravo Lopez Memorial Museum for making this available to us. wlh
